Iranian health minister to visit Azerbaijan
During the visit, an agreement will be signed between Azerbaijan and Iran in the field of health, deputy health minister Mohammad Hadi Ayazi told APA’s Tehran bureau..
Ayazi said that during the visit essential documents will be signed for the development of cooperation in the field of medicine and health care.
“Iran and Azerbaijan has a great potential for cooperation in the field of health and medicine. I think there will be discussions on investing in the health sector and developing medical tourism during Mr Hashemi’s visit,” he said.
He added Iran has an infrastructure for the development of medical tourism.
“Although some work has been done in this area, but the desired result has not yet been achieved. Iran is receiving requests from neighboring countries for treatment of serious diseases. At present, this issue is being taken care of by the private sector. We support the activities of the private sector in the development of medical tourism,” he noted.
